Helping Link is looking for an information technology (IT) support specialist devoted to all aspects of computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, security and maintenance. All volunteer positions are available only for those in the local Puget Sound area of Washington.
Responsibilities:
- Helping Link is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist to support day-to-day operations of Helping Link’s technology resources.
- The IT Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, system upgrades, and security patching.
- The IT Specialist will also be involved in configuring, supporting and troubleshooting local network issues, printer (local and network), audio/video equipment, and auxiliary devices such as tablets, PDAs, and smartphones,
Requirements:
- Experience working with Microsoft/Apple operating systems and devices
- Knowledge of troubleshooting both hardware and software issues, Windows OS patching, driver updates.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (LAN/Wireless connectivity, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Experience creating and managing Active Directory objects
- Ability to relay technical information to non-technical audience
- Provide input on budgetary items and requests for enhancing the IT systems and platforms.
